Azerbaijan plans to develop sea territories
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan has developed investment projects to build new villages for exploitation of the Caspian Sea, APA reports, citing the deputy head of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, Dovletkhan Dovlatov.
He said that there are various ways of developing the sea. One of them is construction of underground tunnels and passes below the sea. Another variant is connecting islands near the Bay of Baku via bridges and the establishment of resort zones.
A third variant involves construction of a living point in the Garadag area of the sea, with 4 micro-districts and all the necessary infrastructure.
Dovlatov noted that the projects are just a concept so far, but in a year or so one of the variants will be selected. The state committee is using World Bank funds to develop a regional design for the development of Greater Baku .
