Armenian citizen tries to smuggle $122 thousand worth of gold and silver from Georgia

Officers of the Sarpi checkpoint have detained an Armenian citizen who was trying to smuggle more than 4 kg of gold and 50 kg of silver granules in his car and pockets.

The total worth of the seized cargo was GEL 274,394 ($122 thousand).

The case materials are currently being transferred to the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance, Sputnik Georgia reports.
