Russia condemns terrorist attack on a mosque in Saudi Arabia

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said that Russia calls on the international community to consolidate efforts in the fight against terrorism in connection with the attack on a mosque in Saudi Arabia.

"We strongly and unequivocally condemn this bloody terrorist crime. We express our sincere condolences to the families and relatives of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. All the masterminds and organizers of the terrorist attacks must be severely punished," he said.

The diplomat said that Moscow "strongly supports the efforts of the law enforcement agencies and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for an uncompromising rebuff to terrorists of all types’’ ‘’We consistently oppose any use of religion for political purposes, incitement of inter-confessional conflicts,’’ RIA Novosti  quotes Lukashevich as saying.
