We need a stable ruble, Medvedev says

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the ruble has strong potential.

Medvedev reminded that the government adopted a series of decisions in order to maintain the banking system, industry and agriculture.

"As a result, we see a stabilization of the national currency. What does this mean? Well, first of all, it means that you should never really pay attention to splashes and speculative trends. On the other hand, our currency has very strong potential," RIA Novosti cites him.

The ruble should remain stable and the government will continue to monitor the situation on the currency market.
