Russia is "silver voice" of Eurovision

Russian singer Polina Gagarina took second place in the final of the Eurovision-2015 song contest. Swedish singer Mons Zelmerlev became the winner after performing the song "Heroes". Russia's first channel broadcast the finals from Vienna.

 

The Russian singer, who was leading for a long time, was awarded the highest points from five countries : Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia and Germany. Lithuania and San Marino gave no points to the Russian singer.

 

In third place the Italian group Il Volo, scored 292 points. Russian viewers gave the highest scores to the Italian singers, because according to the rules of the competition Russia could not vote for Gagarina.

 

Gagarina appeared on stage in 25th place in a white dress with a long train, and performed the song "A Million Voices". The authors of compositions are Gabriel Alares, Joachim Bernberg, Katrina Norberg, Leonid Gutkin and Vladimir Matetsky, RIA Novosti reports

 

After summing up the contest, Polina Gagarina thanked family and friends for their support and said she was proud of her country.

 

Zelmerlev, who became Sweden's fifth winner in the history of the Eurovision, has attempted to get into the contest several times. He has acted in films, many television shows and recorded a music album.

 

The winner of Eurovision-2015, Swedish singer Mons Selmerlev, said that the Russian singer Polina Gagarina "sings cool" and that he really wants to go to Russia.
