Georgia to hold first joint military exercises with the United States
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaToday the US and Georgia completed the first joint exercise 'High Partnership Level', involving up to 600 servicemen of the two countries at a military base in Vaziani. For their implementation the United States delivered 11 BMP Bradleys and other equipment.
In connection with the completion ceremony of the maneuvers, which began on May 11 in Tbilisi, commander of the US Army in Europe, Lieutenant General Frederick Ben Hodges arrived.
The exercises were planned the previous October. They also involved a division of the military police of Georgia. It is noteworthy that by the autumn of 2015 a Training Center with the assistance of a group of NATO instructors is scheduled to open in Vaziani.
