Participation of Armenian athletes in Baku 2015 European Games is a victory of sport over politics, Patrick Hickey says

Today President of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey described the participation of athletes from Armenia in the Baku 2015 European Games as a victory of sport over politics.

"Many people are looking for something negative, but I, on the contrary, try to find something positive. We have done our job, as Armenia allowed their athletes to participate in the Baku 2015 European Games. Azerbaijan, in its turn, is to welcome them. This is clear evidence that sport can prevail over politics. It’s a big victory for Armenian sport,’’ AzeriSport cites Patrick Hickey.
