Lavrov and Mammadyarov sign plan for consultations between foreign ministries

Opening the meeting, Sergey Lavrov expressed his condolences to Elmar Mammadyarov in connection with the fire in Baku, which caused casualties. "We appreciate the opportunity to hold talks as part of your official visit. We have goals clearly defined by our leaders. The presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan meet regularly, and they have a constructive dialogue that allows creating conditions for the settlement of all the issues, without exception," TASS cited him as saying.
Mammadyarov, in his turn, expressed confidence that the ministers and their departments will be able to carry out the instructions of the two states. "The aims set by our leaders, show a high level of relations between our countries. Our relations stand at the highest level and are developing fruitfully, trade is growing, and cooperation within international organizations is under way," he said.
