Slovak PM: sanctions should be lifted
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaSlovak Prime Minister Robert Fico called for lifting sanctions against Russia in case of the fulfillment of Minsk agreements.
"The sanctions solve nothing. They are not a policy but an instrument that hasn't provided the achievement of goals," TASS cited him as saying.
"The sanctions were not aimed at causing economic damage to Russia or degrading its living standards. They were aimed at pushing Russia towards a resolution of the conflict with Ukraine," the prime minister added.
He also said that the signing of the Minsk agreement was a major political achievement.
