Russian State Duma commission proposes initiation of case against Yegiazaryan

The commission of the Russian State Duma for mandate affairs and deputy ethics requested the lower chamber to allow the Prosecutor General's Investigation Committee to initiate a case against a deputy of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party Ashot Yegiazaryan, the official website of the Russian State Duma says.


The head of the Russian Investigation Committee at the Prosecution Alexander Bastrykin made the request on Wednesday. The message says that Yegiazaryan may be accused for serious fraud. He faces up to 10 years in prison.


The commission wants the issue to be examined on October 22, ITAR-TASS reports.
