Medvedev: our relationship with Astana is at a high point

He said that bilateral relations are at a very high point, despite the economic problems. "Exports from Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation have recently increased by 20%, and our trade turnover is growing," the prime minister said.
Speaking about the integration processes, Medvedev pointed out that it is great achievement that all thoughts related to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union were implemented. "Well, it is clear that any union has different stages of development. You were the pioneers of this idea, now this idea is being realized in reality," he added.
RIA Novosti cites Nazarbayev as saying "But the main direction is a free trade area, the customs union, the movement of capital, people, investments. I am sure that all this will bear fruit, so we have to go through these difficulties."
