Azerbaijani newlyweds to pass compulsory medical examinations

According to article 13 of the Azerbaijani Family Code, all newlyweds need to pass compulsory medical examinations, starting on June 1, 2015. The examinations will be conducted at public medical centers. Newlyweds will be checked for thalassemia, AIDS and syphilis, Trend reports.
