Dresden to hold FEEL RUSSIA festival for the first time

On May 30-31 Dresden will host for the first time a festival of Russian culture FEEL RUSSIA, where guests can visit a book fair, photography exhibition and enjoy traditional Russian cuisine.

 

In the program of the festival is an unusual exhibition of photographs by William Carrick, which will be accompanied by music and scents. Guests can see illustrations for the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, Hauff and Hoffmann, made in a variety of styles and techniques by Russian artists; illustrations for children's books of 1920-1930. In addition, visitors will have the chance to view a photography exhibition called 'Native Land', which demonstrates the diverse images of Russian nature, made by famous photographers. The children's program consists of workshops on the creation of cardboard houses, books, clamshells, and studying techniques of book illustration.
