Azerbaijan to choose Turkish Parliament

Today polling stations opened in Azerbaijan for citizens of Turkey to vote for the new composition of the Turkish Parliament. They can implement their electoral right in the Turkish embassy in Baku, as well as in the consulates in Ganja and Nakhchivan.

According to the Trend news agency, among the 6558 eligible Turkish citizens residing on the territory of Azerbaijan, 5916 are registered at the embassy in Baku, 340 at the consulate in Ganja, and 302 at the consulate in Nakhchivan.

The Turkish parliamentary elections will start a week later, on June 7, involving 20 political parties, the total number of official eligible voters is 53,765,231 people.
