Azerbaijani president attends opening of Baku White City Boulevard

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, his wife Mehriban and daughter Arza have attended the opening of the White City Boulevard in Baku today. The territory used to be called the Black City due to the density of industrial facilities.

The boulevard is 2.7km long and covers 33 hectares. A children's cinema theater will be built on the boulevard. It already has a basketball, volleyball and two football fields. A training ground will soon open. A bicycle track 2km long is open.
