Russia may ban US poultry transit to Kazakhstan

Russia's agricultural surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor may ban transit of US poultry to Kazakhstan through its territory, according to Sergey Dankvert, the head of the surveillance, Interfax reports.

In his words, Kazakhstan imported 24,000 tons of poultry from the US in five months, despite the bird flu in America.

Dankvert reminded that Kazakhstan had not used chloride methods of processing poultry.
