Two militants surrender in Dagestan

Two members of illegal armed formations have surrendered in Dagestan, RIA Novosti reports, citing the local police.

A local, 1976, from the Igali village of the Gumbetov region of Dagestan was on the federal wanted list for arms trafficking and attacks on police. He was member of Shamil Magomednabiyev's group. The group leader was killed on September 12 in the Komsomolskoye village of the Kizilurt region.

The militant handed over a 7.62 mm AKM, an empty magazine, a 5.6 mm pistol and three bullets.

The other militant surrendered in the Tsumadin region of Dagestan. The 20-year old local from Eched village was part of Ahmed Abdulkerimov group since October 2009.
