Ex-assistant prosecutor of Dagestan's Tarumsky District will pay 6 million rubles for graft

Rasul Temirbekov, senior assistant of the chief investigator of Dagestan, said that Stepan Sviridovich, an ex-assistant prosecutor of the Tarumovsky District, was sentenced to 7.5 years of jail in a penal colony and fined 6 million rubles for graft, Dagestanskaya Pravda reports.


According to investigators, Sviridovich was racketeering the head of a company to pay him 100,000 rubles as a bribe for evading an administrative punishment in July 2014. FSB officers caught him receiving the bribe. The official has been banned from taking state posts for 3 years.
