10 people injured in blast at pro-Kurdish demonstration in Turkey
Read on the website Vestnik Kavkaza10 people were injured, some of them gravely, when a transformation shed exploded, followed by another blast at a garbage can during a demonstration organized by the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party in Turkey's Diyarbakir. A police officer and 5 participants of the demonstration were injured in the first blast, RIA Novosti reports.
The police used tear gas. Additional police units with water cannon and armored trucks were called to the scene of the incident. A police helicopter was seen in the area. Thousands of people gathered for the demonstration about the June 7 parliamentary elections.
