Turkey will hold parliamentary elections on Sunday. The Justice and Development Party, the Republican People's Party and the Peace and Democracy Party are the front runners among a total of 19 political parties campaigning. Political analyst Hussein Altynalan said that Turkey was under major duress from Europe, including The Greens of Germany and the Armenian Federation Union of Europe who supported the Peace and Democracy Party (a political wing of the PKK). In his words, such a sentiment was conspicuous in The New York Times and The Guardian. The analyst reminded about Germany's support for protesters at Gezi Park.

Altynalan said that Turkey wanted to build a third international airport for transit flights. He accused Germany of financing the PKK, and the EU of deploying double standards and failing to understand the national mentality.

The analyst predicts that the Justice and Development Party will get the majority of votes, followed by the Republican People's Party and the Peace and Democracy Party. The latter, in his words, is lobbied by the Dogan media holding and Germany.

Political analyst Ahmet Simsek predicts that the parties will get 45%, 25% and 15% of the votes respectively. He believes that the Peace and Democracy Party will try to get 40 parliamentary seats. The expert advocates formation of a presidential system as more effective. In his opinion, the Peace and Democracy is mainly supported by people suffering from pressure, such as in Diyarbakir.
