A student of Moscow State University, Varvara Karaulova, who was detained while trying to cross the border with Syria, where she was going to join the militants of ISIS, remains in the hands of the Turkish law enforcers, her father Pavel Karaulov reported.

‘’She remains with the Turks, I could not talk to her,’’ RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

According to the girl's father, Varvara Karulova is currently in one of the border towns of Turkey, where she and other members of the group she was arrested with are staying. Investigations are continuing. "At the moment I do not know when she will be passed over to the Russian diplomats. I hope that it will be soon. I was told to wait for her in Istanbul," her father said.
