Israel tests dirty bombs

Israel has carried out a series of test detonations to measure the effects of a “dirty” radiological bomb, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports.

According to the paper, twenty detonation tests were performed, and additional tests were conducted to measure  the level of radioactivity and strength of explosions.

The tests were carried out solely for defensive purposes, Gazeta.ru reports.
