Azerbaijan distributes ballot papers for parliamentary elections
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan begins the distribution of ballot papers for parliamentary polls on Monday, Trend reports, citing the Central Electoral Commission.
The distribution will start at Sharur-Sadarak electoral district N1. Azerbaijan has printed over 5 million ballot papers. According to the electoral law there will be a surplus of 3% of ballot papers.
Azerbaijan started printing on October 22 at the printing works of the Azerbaijani parliament. The decision about the contents and the form of ballot papers was made by the Central Electoral Commission on October 1.
The parliamentary elections will be held on November 7, 2010. The ballot papers were approved 35 days ahead of the election process and printed 10 days ahead of the elections. According to the law, the number of observers in voting districts cannot exceed the number of voters by 0.5% and cannot be less than 90% of the voting number.
