Militants tried to repeat attack on Nalchik of 2005

Militants in Nalchik tried to repeat the events of 2005 and release 58
people on trial for the attack on the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria in
2005, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Ivan Sydoruk said, RIA Novosti
reports.

"We received information about the militants trying to repeat the
events in Nalchik of 2005 on the tenth of October. We actively engaged
in work, and these plans have been upset," - said Sydoruk on Monday at
a meeting of the Committee of the Federation Union for Legal and
Judicial Affairs.

"We have removed the danger, but we continue to keep our finger on the
pulse," - said the Deputy Attorney General.
