Police officers in Karachay-Cherkessia to serve time in jail for torturing detainee

Rasul Kochkarov, police chief of the Karachayevsky Police Station, Magomed Dudov, operational investigations chief, and Nurchyuk Kasayev, a criminal investigator, have been sentenced to 3 years of jail in a penal colony for torturing a detainee from Khurzuk, Karachayevsky District, taken into custody on March 7, Interfax reports.

They were trying to force the suspect to plead guilty to assault.
