Contenders from Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia to fight for medals in Greco-Roman wrestling

As a result of the qualifying competition in the quarterfinals in Greco-Roman wrestling in different weight classes, contenders from Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia are vying for medals.

Hasan Aliyev (Azerbaijan) and Michael Syamenau (Belarus), Mihran Harutyunyan (Armenia) and Alexander Maksimovic (Serbia), Denis Demyankov (Ukraine) Mathias Maash (Germany), Artem Surkov (Russia) and Istvan Levi (Slovakia) will compete in the category up to 66 kg for the right to reach the semi-finals and fight for the right to become the winner of the First  European Games.

At the same time the quarter-finals in the category up to 85 kg are starting, in which Davit Chakvetadze (Russia) and Ramsin Azizsir (Germany), Maxim Manukyan (Armenia) and Alexander Kazakevich (Lithuania) will meet. Nenad Zugaya (Croatia) and Metehana Bashar (Turkey) do not have defined opponents  yet. The Azerbaijani wrestler Saman Tahmasebi will compete with one of them.
