Classic fighters Sabah Shariati (Azerbaijan, up to 130 kg), Davit Chakvetadze (Russia, up to 85 kg) and Maxim Manukyan (Armenia, up to 85 kg) reached the semi-finals today in Greco-Roman wrestling at the First European Games in Baku.

The Azerbaijani heavyweight Sabah Shariati won in the fight with the Georgian athlete Jacobi Kazhaya with a score of 3:1. In the semi-finals he will meet with another wrestler of Georgian origin Ioseb Chugoshvili (Belarus), who won in the fight with the German Edward Booty (4:0). Another pair in the art of Greco-Roman wrestling is the Turk Riza Kayaalp, who won in semi-finals against the Russian Sergey Semenov (3:0), and Heiko Nabi from Estonia who beat the Swede Sebastian Loenborn (3:0).
