Russian and US chief diplomats discuss situation in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry have discussed the situation in Ukraine in a telephone conversation, RIA Novosti reports.

The Russian minister advocated commitment to the ceasefire and a convocation of the contact group in Minsk to encourage dialogue between Kiev and Donbas.
