Zhanna Friske dies

Russian pop singer Zhanna Friske has died, aged 41, after a long illness: in 2013 she was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Friske was born on July 8, 1974 in Moscow.  The actress became famous in 1996, when she became the soloist of the Blestyashiye Band. In 2003 Friske went on to a solo career. The singer played in the film "Night Watch", "Day Watch" and "What Men Talk About,’’ TASS recalls.

In April 2013 Friske gave birth to a son,  Platon.
