Graduates of Russian military higher education centers will receive a book 'Atlas of Officer. Russia' as a gift for concluding their studies, as decided by Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu, TASS reports.


The pocket atlas will be convenient in any situation. It has the latest economic data about every Russian region, according to Major General Alexey Tsygankov, deputy head of the Directorate for Military Personnel. The traditions of the atlas date to the 'Atlas of WPRA Commander' first published in 1938.


The book consists of geographic data, maps and characteristics of regions. The new atlas has recently been presented at the Army-2015 Forum in Kubinka.
