Iran has rejected Reuters agency's information about 40 million barrels of oil being stored on supertankers at sea.

Currently Iran has no crude oil stored on ships, IRNA cited the director for international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company, Mohsen Ghamsari, as saying.

Earlier, Reuters reported that Iran has stored the crude on tankers at sea as it prepares for a sales drive if a nuclear deal with the West can be sealed.

According to Ghamsari, Iran will prepare all the necessary infrastructure to increase its crude oil exports to global markets once the sanctions are lifted.
