Azerbaijani silver winner in Men's Individual All-Around says he can do better

Oleg Verniaiev (Ukraine) has won gold in the Men's Individual All-Around at the First European Games in Baku. Oleg Stepko (Azerbaijan) won silver, Nikita Ignatyev (Russia) got bronze. Mehriban Aliyev, First Lady of Azerbaijan, chairwoman of the Organizing Committee of the First European Games, president of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, awarded the athletes personally.


In an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza, Oleg Stepko from Azerbaijan said that he did fine but could do better, The athlete belives that he has potential to show better performance and plans to train for the world championship.


Stepko reminded that Azerbaijan had five medals. 'Everyone is happy. Thanks to the federation, thanks to the coaches, the medical center always giving support. Come on June 20 to cheer for me and others. Now, we will rest and recuperate,' concluded the athlete.
