25 sets of medals to be played for on tenth day of First European Games
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaToday in Baku the tenth day of the European Games has started, during which competitions will be held in rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, trampoline, shooting, archery, athletics, volleyball, beach volleyball and water polo, boxing, road cycling and diving.
On the tenth day of the European Games, the athletes will contend for 25 medal sets. Athletes will compete in rhythmic gymnastics in the group clubs, hoops and ribbon, individual hoops, ribbon, ball and clubs, the qualification round in mixed pairs and woman's trio in acrobatic gymnastics, in groups and duos in aerobics, in individual and synchronized trampoline among men and women, in archery among women, in men's water polo and men's beach volleyball, in men's road cycling race, in women's 3m springboard and men's platform, in men's rifle shooting (50 m, 3 positions), rapid fire pistol and skeet.
Also today is the first day of athletics competitions, the qualifications will be in hammer, javelin and discus throw, pole vault, high and long jump, 100, 400, 800, 1500 and 5000 meters and relay.
The medals in rhythmic gymnastics in group performances with five ribbons will be played between teams from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Germany, Italy and Spain, and in group exercises with clubs and hoops - between Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Italy, Belarus and Bulgaria. Russia is represented by Darya Kleshcheva, Anastasia Maximova, Sophia Skomoroh, Anastasia Tatareva, Maria Tolkacheva and Diana Borisova.
Marina Durunda will represent Azerbaijan in the individual finals in ball, hoops and ribbon. Yana Kudryavtseva will represent Russia in the exercises with ball, clubs and ribbon and Margarita Mamun - in hoops.
Lala Huseynova, Narmin Ramazanov, Aynur Guseynova and the duo Uliana Dyakova and Anatoly Leonov will represent Azerbaijan in acrobatic gymnastics, and Russia will be represented by Zhanna Parkhomets, Julia Nikitina, Valeria Belkina and the duo Marina Chernova and Georgi Pataraya.
Duhik Dzhanazyan, Garsevan Dzhanazyan, Roman Semenov, Ruslan Zubairov and Denis Solovyov will represent Russia in the finals in aerobic gymnastics. Ilya Grishunin and Svetlana Makshtarova from Azerbaijan, Dmitry Ushakov and Yana Pavlova from Russia will compete in individual trampoline. In synchronized trampoline Russia will be represented by duets Mikhail Melnik and Dmitry Ushakov, Anna Kornetskaya and Yana Pavlova.
Dmitry Barsuk and Leonid Koshkarev need to beat the Swiss to reach the final in beach volleyball.
