Heydar Aliev monument unveiled in Astrakhan

Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliev, arrived at the opening ceremony of his father's monument in Russia's Astrakhan, Trend reports.

Aliev declared that this monument is to symbolize Russian-Azerbaijani fraternal friendship and strategic partnership.

The deal on the monument's construction was reached during the visit of Astrakhan chief of administration, Konstantin Merkulov, to Baku last December.
