Lavrov: we need to cherish partnership between Russia and Germany

We need to cherish and develop the strategic partnership between Russia and Germany, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the 13th conference of Russian and German sister cities.

"There are a lot of sharp turns in the annals of the chronicle of bilateral relations – from tragic pages to impressive successes. Together, we have managed to achieve a historic post-war reconciliation and to reach the level of strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation. This is our common heritage, which I am sure we should cherish," he said.

At the same time, Lavrov noted that the forum is making "a contribution to the overall work."
