Armenian government proposed to hold an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly (parliament) on July 2 for the ratification of the Armenian-Russian agreement on providing the Armenian side export loan.

"I want to remind you that this agreement refers only to military-technical cooperation," ARKA cited the head of the Armenian government staff, David Harutiunyan, as saying.

The announcement that Russia will provide Armenia with a $200 million loan to purchase new weapons was made after the meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan with the Russian minister for transportation and co-chair of the Armenian-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, Maksim Sokolov.
