Ukrenergo threatened Crimea with energy blockade
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Ukrainian company Ukrenergo has notified the Russian side about the cessation of supplies of electricity to Crimea from today, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Russia reports.
"On June 30, 2015 at 17:39 from the side of IPC Ukrenergo, notification was sent on the reduction from 00:00 July 1 hourly chart of the planned balance-overflow of UES of Ukraine - Crimea to 0 MW," TASS reports.
However, the Crimean authorities stated that they don't need Ukrainian electricity. However, the termination of deliveries was not followed, electric power supply is carried out in normal mode, according to Krymenergo.
"All the elements of the power system in Crimea are working normally. There was no information about the restriction of energy supplies from the territory of Ukraine," a message reads.
