Deputy head of Yerevan police proposes starving protesters to eat apricots
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA deputy chief of the Yerevan city police, Valery Osipyan, called on two starving protesters to eat apricots during a visit to Baghramyan Avenue.
"You should eat at least apricots. People from all over the world come to eat our apricots," Interfax cited him as saying.
Osipyan also said that "illegal blockade of the Avenue should be terminated."
"We periodically warned the demonstrators that the street must be unblocked. The use of force is allowed by law, but, as you can see, the police are doing nothing yet," he said.
