The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany made a statement today in which categorically rejected voiced in the German press charges against the Minister of Youth and Sports, Azad Rahimov. As noted in the Embassy, in the article "Baku threatened journalists. Even in Germany it is not safe, " published on June 26 in the online version of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung magazine, the Minister Azad Rahimov was accused of threats to the journalist Emin Abdullayev (Milli) who is living in Germany.

‘’ In this publication the Minister Rahimov is accused of "public threat " against Emin Abdullayev. However, in the next sentence they say that the alleged charges were transferred to the journalist, "through a third party." Obviously, the "open threat" a priori can not be transferred through a third party’’, the embassy noticed pretty  fairly. "These contradictions show an erroneous and disorienting press coverage,"   the statement of the diplomatic service runs. Embassy called on responsible journalists to correct their own erroneous statements and to publish a retraction.

Moreover, the embassy stressed that did not receive any request from the NDR television and other media representatives in connection with the accusations against the minister, as it was erroneously stated in the video report in the ZAPP program. Also in this case, the embassy requires refutation.

With a great regret the embassy said that against Azerbaijan a PR-campaign, which was launched in the run-up and during the first European Games, continues to be conducted. The diplomatic mission stressed that such materials more and more prove the idea that this campaign is controllable and is aimed to harm the image of Azerbaijan and the German-Azerbaijani relations.

"False and misleading coverage of the situation in Azerbaijan in any way does not reflect the real political, economic and social development of the country. Azerbaijan in the future will continue its path of further building of a democratic and legal state, "the embassy stated in the issued statement.

Note, that this is not the first attempt of an outrageous blogger to attract attention in a similar way. For example, early last year in the Berlin bureau of his Internet channel a stone was thrown  and a glass office was broken. The incident occurred at the weekend, the office itself is located in the Kreuzberg district, which is favored by migrants, where the level of domestic hooliganism rolls, especially on the weekend. But then, Milli Abdullayev also suggested that the "attack" was made by  the government of Azerbaijan.

Emin Milli  distinguished himself in 2013 by a sensational nature and content of an unproven statement that one of the diplomats of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Berlin tried to "order" one of his colleagues in the local criminal authorities. Now, the blogger says that his promised "to get and punish"  Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov. Finally, today, he said that, as long as something bad will happen to him, then it will happen, no less, at the personal request of President Aliyev. An old anecdote is recalled about the "elusive Joe" (Why is elusive? Yes, because he did not give anyone!). We, in turn, want to warn that if something happens to our editorial staff, the direct responsibility for this will be on the comrade Milly!

P.S. All this would be funny if it was not so sad. After all the  allegations of the settled in Berlin activist without any preliminary "fact-check" and opinion of the ‘’accused», parties, are  published in the authoritative, as we see, German magazines. So whether is not right  the Azerbaijani embassy in Berlin, when it speaks of a "dirty campaign" being waged by some media against Azerbaijan?
