Meetings on coalition in Turkey to be held next week

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, said that meetings to discuss the coalition with representatives of parties will be held next week.

Turkey held parliamentary elections on June 7, which involved 20 political parties. As a result of the parliamentary elections, the ruling Justice and Development Party garnered 40.9% of the votes, the Republican People’s Party (CHP) – 25%, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) – 16.3%, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) – 13.1%.

The coalition government should be formed in Turkey within 45 days after announcing the results of the parliamentary election, Trend reports.
