Gharibashvili opens new railway station in Batumi

A new railway station has been opened in Batumi, capital of the Adjara region of Georgia. The station is located in the four-story business center Batumi-Central. The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, the press service of the Georgian Prime Minister said.


In addition to the new railway station, business facilities and entertainment venues, as well as the bus station are located at the territory of Batumi-Central. The building includes offices and service centers. It also has passenger waiting halls.


"The new railway station is another major infrastructure project of the government and Georgian Railway that fits the interests of the population and is aimed at increasing tourism potential," Sputnik cited Gharibashvili as saying.
