Bomb defused in Grozny

Engineers have defused an explosive device in the Staropromyslovskiy
area of Grozny equal to 5kg of TNT. The bomb was hidden in the ground
near a private house, RIA Novosti reports, citing an official of the
Ministry of Interior in Chechnya.

The police have also detained a 24-year old citizen of the
Sernovodskoye village at a control post in the Sunzhen region. The
suspect is believed to have been part of an illegal armed formation
from July to August this year.
