China to support Iran in producing satellite navigation systems

China is devoted to supporting Iran in producing navigation
satellites, the head of the Iranian space agency Hamid Fazeli said,
Press TV reports, citing IRNA.

He said that other Asian countries offer cooperation in space
projects. Fazeli said that Iran needs to attract the private sector in
the realization of space projects.

He emphasized that telecommunication and research satellites are some
of the most widespread space devices, demonstrating the technological
achievements of the country.

Iran launched its first satellite Omid in 2009, using Safir spaceship.
