Crisis in the platinum market

The platinum market is currently experiencing a collapse: the price of the precious metal is falling in value, despite the fact that its production has also reduced.

At the present time, the price of an ounce has been about $994 since 2009. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, which publishes accurate figures, for the first six months of 2015, Russia produced 18% less platinum than in the corresponding period of 2014, but the April production fell by 43%.
