Ilham Aliyev awards employees of Trend and Interfax-Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on awarding media representatives with honorary diplomas of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for their merits in development of mass media outlets.

In particular, the General Director of the news agency Interfax-Azerbaijan, Alexander Ivanov, and also Aflatun Amashov, Nushirevan Maharramov and Vugar Safarli were awarded the order 'For Service to the Fatherland' of the third degree. Arfu Alishanov was awarded the same order of the second degree.

The chief editor of Trend, Vagif Sharifov, Deputy Director General Jamilya Odzhagova, the chief editor of AZERNEWS, Sevil Mikailova and the chief editor of Day.az portal, Elchin Valiyev, were awarded the title of "Honored Journalist".
