Turkey strengthens security measures on borders with Syria and Iraq

Turkey has raised security measures on its borders with Syria and Iraq. Artillery and tanks, barrels of guns directed towards Syria were deployed on l tactical heights along the border. The number and frequency of patrols has increased. Border guards control the border areas under the cover of armored vehicles.

Several regions on the border in Kilis province have been declared as special security zones, where martial law has actually been imposed, and soldiers have a right to shoot without warning. Most of the settlements in these areas have been evacuated long ago due to the risk of falling shells from the area of fighting in Syria, TASS reports.
