Azerbaijani troops disrupt diversion by Armenian Armed Forces on contact line

The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan managed to disrupt a diversion by the Armenian side along the contact line of troops and on border areas, the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan reported.

Yesterday, during the day and then at night, a division of Armenia made attempts at a diversion by subjecting intense fire at Azerbaijani positions in the direction of the Geranboy, Aghdam, Terter and Fizuli regions, as well as the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border on the territory of the Gedabey district.

In all cases the firing was suppressed with return fire, resulting in the disruption of the diversions, the attempts at which cost the Armenian side five dead.

The ministry assured that the operational situation on the frontline is under the full control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the fighting spirit and morale of the troops are high, Trend reports.
