A meeting of representatives of the opposition parties,
nongovernmental organizations and the public, on the initiative of the
social movement "Save Life", took place in the Tbilisi Chess Palace.
The participants discussed the problems of Georgia's emergence from
the political crisis, NewsGeorgia reports.

The meeting was not attended by such major opposition players as the
party of the New Right, Labor and the Republicans.

The idea of an expanded meeting came after intense meetings between
representatives of the opposition movement. According to the activist
Yuri Vazagashvili, the father of Zurab Vazagashvili, who was killed in
a police raid in the capital's courts, meetings with the opposition
have shown that political parties themselves are unable to defeat the
current regime.

Vazagashvili urged the opposition forces and the civil sector to join
efforts “to save the country and initiate the establishment of an
Assembly of confidence. According to him, everyone who is ready to
fight against the current government would be able to work together in
it.
