Laurent Fabius to visit Tehran
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaFrench Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will hold talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and several other ministers in Tehran.
This visit will be the first in the last 12 years, French Foreign Ministry spokesman, Romain Nadal, said.
"The visit represents a resumption of the political dialogue between France and Iran at the highest level. It will be an occasion to discuss all key points of the Franco-Iranian relations, including regional issues, as well as the goals of the UN Climate Conference in Paris," he noted.
According to the experts, one of the main issues during the visit is the restart of economic relations between Paris and Tehran, because until the imposition of sanctions, France was one of the largest foreign players in the Iranian market.
