Armenia increases production of non-ferrous metals

Armenia has produced 2.3 times more concentrate of zinc in the first 9
months of 2010 compared with the same period last year. This year,
Armenia produced 9 500 tons of zinc concentrate, news.am reports.

Armenia produces zinc from production of copper, gold and other
non-ferrous metals and exports it.

Copper concentrate production has increased by 43.6% due to the
world"s rising prices for copper, making 88 500 tons in the first 9
months of this year. Armenia produces 6 300 tons of molybdenum
concentrate.
